 MdE started working in the yeast production process at the end of the 80’s by means of an association with the Dutch company Gist Brocades (Delft, The Netherlands), nowadays DSM.
The agreement with GB finished in 1987 and since that moment MdE has carried out their projects in an independent way, developing an international activity in this field, with some turn-key projects . The yeast sector is one of the historic fields of MdE, which has allowed us to have a strategic position in the recent projects at an international level.
We have experience in the yeast production in all forms, fresh, dry, and also with yeast extracts.
MdE can provide his experience in all process stages:
- Preparation, storage and raw materials distribution
- Molasses treatment
- Fermentation: Initial phase (sterile), propagation and commercial fermentation
- Separation
- Filtration
- Extrusion and packing
- Yeast drying
- Auxiliary services: CIP (Cleaning in Place), process water, hot water, HVAC.
The built plants are fully automated, including product transport, cleaning, according to the corresponding GMP´s.
MdE has acquired a great experience in sterile installations design as well as in the selection of sanitary materials (equipments, instruments,… ).
We have carried out complete plants for yeast production in countries as Morocco, China, Italy, South Africa, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Korea.
We offer an extensive range of services:
- Feasibility primary studies
- Basic and detailed engineering
- Equipment and material supply, including start-up assistance on lump-sum basis
- Manufacture process supply, sterilization requirements, operation book, functional description, control algorithms, etc.
- Technical assistance for the employees training and start-up assistance, product quality improvement, etc.
