In order to bring the refinery in Tarragona to the new conditions of the current market, Repsol YPF planned some time ago to increase the production capacity of ethylene up to 1900 t / day. For the assessment and development of this project, the execution of a feasibility study was commissioned to the process licensee, also in charge of the run of the basic engineering.
In parallel to the increase of production capacity, it has to be taken into consideration the conduct of general improvements on the operation mode of the unit and, particularly, the achievement of improvements in environmental conditions.
Mediterrània Engineering was awarded the work of lifting the current state of the laser scanner unit and subsequent generation of 3D images in "point cloud", confirmation of the planned deployment, conducting the overall project, as well as it’s planning and detailed engineering and purchasing management.
This award is a milestone for MdE as well as to for Ayesa group of companies, in the sense we enter Repsol as a quality engineering to undertake projects deemed critical and complex planning.
